When I ate the eggs, I sat here.

About a decade ago (ok maybe slightly less) I was eating a very late early (we're talking 3AM) breakfast at MEL'S DINER in my hometown of Waterloo.

There was Hollandaise sauce included, and a bit of a Hollandaise sauce fight, which then ended up on the shirt I was wearing -something HEINOUS, I'm sure (see my last post's picture- same era).
Sooooo, I did what any respectable, large breasted, slightly inebriated young woman would do. I took off said shirt and continued gobbling down by eggs..... in my bra.

Oh, the memories.

But alas, a fire early this morning tore that 50's diner to shreds. Along with other businesses.
Sad.

Fio, Do you miss it?

My very own "Aidan"

It's an ongoing "joke" that many of my pals have figured out.
My boyfriend is a tad like Aidan from Sex in the City.

He's tall, dark, handsome- and the fact that he's wicked crafty helps.

There's just something about the C dawg sometimes when you look at him.... You have be be like "He's so Aidan".

So the best ever is C was telling me yesterday that a pal of his from work the other day was commenting that he reminded him of another actor.

"Some dood from Northern Exposure"

HA! Same guy, my friend.

Baby really is my very own Aidan.

Whatever it takes. I know I can make it through.

Had a grand weekend away in the K Dub. Girls night was fun. Got to see a bunch of gals I haven't for a long while (too long) and of course, my old favorites.
Played some Win, Lose or Draw. I really can not draw.

Spent Saturday loafing with my sister, getting acquainted with the likes of
Snooki and The Situation.

I avoided it for a long time- but like any other stoopid reality show- Jersey Shore (I'm afraid) is adddictive. Absolutely ridiculous. My sister wants the Snooki bump now. Her husband is going to start tanning.

Sunday was another relaxed day. We went and visited my old roommates from 5 years ago- before I moved to the T dot- Chris and Sheena. Got to meet their latest additions to the family- Felix and Rory (baby boy + doggie).

We then made our way to the Brines where the boys were watching (alot of) hockey.
We made poutine.
This poutine addiction must stop. I'm sure it will kick in once I gain another 10 or 15 pounds from the gravy-and-cheese-infused-french-fries.

Took Monday off as a holiday. Spent some much needed time alone during the day and then met Scott at the Paupers Roftop patio to catch some vodka rays. My pal Kelly met me there. Others gathered and we stayed until we were all shovering from the lack of sun. Headed to Central Tech highschool. ... yadda yadda yadda-

Finished up the evening weith some vino and a celebrity spotting at the Greenroom.
I hadn't been there in about 3 years. But it suited the theme of the whole night so I figured, why not?

"Celebrity" spotting=

We were staring. Kelly mostly (hahaha).

We are the typical "Went to highschool together- super super close for a long time, BOTH move to the city and somehow lose touch" products.
It sucks.
Like why am I not seeing these people I so love?
Life gets in the way I guess.
Either way- it was great times to see Ms. Kelly.

To close this already-too-lengthy post, Here's an embarassing picture of the 2 of us, circa 1999

Which tuxedo cat looks THE MOST like Adolf Hitler?

Grilled Cheese sandwiches or Bill Cosby?

Going to a Sleepover at Bolts tomorrow. It will be nice to have all the gals together. It's really been too long.

My sister and I are making cold rolls. And THIS TIME I am putting cilantro in them. (Stupid people who dislike cilantro- like my brother in law...)

Wine will be drank, games will be played.
I'm bringin' the old favorite - Personal Preferences.

This Parker Brothers game is from 1987. Never really took off from what I can recall, but I found this at the Goodwill a few years back and gave it a go. It's pretty rad.

Like, what DO you prefer?

Grilled Cheese sandwiches or Bill Cosby?

Waiting in line or Paying Taxes?

Ice Skating or All-You-Can-Eat Buffets?

Ran into this guy last night on Bloor Street. I was on my way to meet C- man at the grocery store and we grabbed the goods to make Fajitas for dinner.
We are so Mexican-crazy.
We eat Mexi-inspired food three times a week, for Chrissakes.

Aren't we a happy-looking cartoon couple?

Hello...... Jeff.

MyHeritage: Family tree - Genealogy - Celebrity

I am Allowed

...to get excited for the tee vee

Also excited for the delicious dinner we are to prepare tonight. It will be a MEGA salad consisting of some or all of the following:

  • chicken-less chicken
  • moms homemade beets
  • cheery tomato (not Cherry, Cheery)
  • roasted red peppers
  • some kind of cheese (bocconcini or feta)
  • mushies
  • spinach / arugula

Speaking of arugula if I ever get a car (not likely) I want the horn to make this noise:

"ARUUUU-GULA"

Oh and by the way, I bought something that is UBER cool and makes ME UBER cool and rhymes with "Heather Smack-it".

Dear Brain,

The next time you subject me to dreaming that Charlie Sheen is my boyfriend- Can you please (AT LEAST) insert him as a young, rebel in Ferris Bueller's Day Off....

And NOT the "same-shirt-with-different-colour-squares" wheatbag from Two and A Half Men?

Much obliged!

Love,

Krista
